Relax by the Lake

There's no need to rush away after your canoe trip or walk. Spend some time beside the lake, enjoy the surroundings, and let us arrange snacks, drinks or lunch by the water.

Canoe the crater lake

See Lake Duluti from the water on a guided canoe trip of approximately 1–1.5 hours. A local guide is always in the canoe with you, pointing out birdlife, plants, the surrounding forest and features of the crater lake along the way. Life jackets are provided.

Walk through the forest

Explore the forest surrounding Lake Duluti on a guided walk. Your guide will introduce you to some of the plants and trees found around the lake while you keep watch for monkeys, monitor lizards and the many birds that live around the forest and water. Kingfishers, fish eagles, herons and cormorants are among those you may spot.

What to bring

Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and water are recommended.

If you enjoy birdwatching, binoculars are well worth bringing. A light jacket or rain layer can also be useful depending on the weather.

Lake Duluti can be as simple as a few quiet hours by the lake, or a fuller outing combining canoeing, walking and lunch. Transport from Arusha can be arranged depending on your booking.
