The walk to the waterfall
The journey to Materuni Waterfall begins on foot, following village paths through farmland and the green slopes beneath Kilimanjaro. with your local guide sharing what you pass along the way, village life, crops and some of the plants growing in this fertile part of northern Tanzania. Then the waterfall comes into view, dropping more than 80 metres into the valley below.

Coffee from bean to cup
Materuni lies in one of Tanzania’s coffee-growing areas. Learn how the coffee is grown and prepared, then take part yourself, roasting, grinding and brewing the beans using traditional methods. The process is lively and hands-on, often accompanied by local songs, before ending by drinking the coffee you’ve just helped prepare.

From Arusha to Materuni
